Reuse or recycle?

What is the proper way to "recycle" the blue plastic pallets that Diet Mountain Dew bottles are sold on?
Whenever I buy a case of Diet Mountain Dew, they are typically sold on these blue plastic pallets. They appear to be made of high-density polyethylene, i.e., #2 plastic, so they should be recyclable. However, they also seem like they could be reused. Do I return these to the store, or am I expected to recycle them?

Best answer: Reuse is better than recycling - the store will know what to do with them.

I suppose they could technically be put in the recycling bin (check your local recycling guidelines!) but are best used for their original purpose! :]
