YA novel identification help - ghost girl takes over a body?

I have a vague recollection of a YA novel that has been published probably in the past 10 years or so. I remember seeing it on Amazon as a "if you like this, you'll like this" but haven't bothered to pick it up, and would like to now. I've googled and looked on Amazon, but I suspect that the current increase in popularity of supernatural YA novels is bringing me back more than I'm looking for.

From what I can remember of the synopsis, a ghost girl takes over the body of a potentially suicidal girl, or someone that is already "dead inside." There may have also been a boy ghost, and there may have been a romantic interaction between the two, and there (of course) may have been something dramatic that caused them to decide to leave the bodies. The cover may have had a bathtub on it. Does this sound remotely familiar to you?

Best answer: Most probably you are thinking of A Certain Slant of Light by Laura Whitcomb.

Ditto, A Certain Slant of Light. That was an exceedingly well-written book, no doubt.

Glad you found it! Just wanted to add that you're right about this book being something worth remembering. I loved it, forgot about it, and randomly found it years later and loved it again - it's a keeper.
