Vibrator Suggestions

Help me find a new vibrator.

I'd like a new vibrator. The one I have now has two speeds. One is too high and one is too low. I would also like different patterns (like on high for a little while, on low for a little while). I am looking for one that is:

Quiet (I have roommates)
Can be used lying on my stomach
Has varied rhythms as well as varying speeds/intensity
Can be purchased online (credit card is ok)

I'd like plug-in more than battery but battery powered is okay too. If you have suggestions you don't want to share here I am at sakeofprivacy@gmail.com. Thanks for your help!

You might try the Lelo line. They're expensive, but really good. They have several different vibration patterns, each of which can be used at multiple intensity levels. They are rechargeable using a detachable cord, so you get the benefit of good power without having to worry about a cord getting in the way or pulling out of place after a lot of use.

Have you checked out Babeland? They have just about everything, and should be able to help you narrow it down.

I am a pretty big fan of my Lelo toys (this one and this one) -- both of them have a range of speeds and a few patterns (I don't remember how many because one of them is my permanent favorite, heh). Quiet, rechargeable, nice-feeling material, not gimmicky.

Depending on whether you want more than clitoral stimulation, the Femblossom has more different settings and patterns than I know what to do with, and it's a plug-in. It's not very noisy, either, but it's pricey.

Nth-ing Lelo toys. They're sort of the iPod of the vibrator world. They look beautiful and they work really well (and they're pricey). I have this one and I use it on my stomach all the time.

I have a Laya Spot vibrator just like this. It's super quiet, has several speeds and patterns and can definitely be used on your stomach. Highly recommend it!

Lelo, Lelo, Lelo. Lelo.

I have no personal experience.

www.vibereview.com has gotten good remarks from friends of mine who have.

Lelo! Do that! I am in LOVE with my Gigi. She works well with the husband action as well.

If you want a plug-in vibrator because of the SHEER RAW POWER, Lelo toys might not be powerful enough, since afaik none of them plug into a wall. If you just hate batteries, they're rechargeable and look nice and clean up easy and lots of people love them. However, my Gigi sits lonely and unused most of the time -- I bought it because everyone on the internet seemed to love it, and it just wasn't for me.

I love Hey Epiphora and the aggregator Pleasurists for reviews. Fun Factory also makes nice things, and I think they're a bit less expensive than Lelo toys.

LELO Nea. Just about silent, super powerful, cute, easy to clean.

I have a Lelo Nea and while it's gorgeous it isn't that strong and I don't really use it much. Maybe the Cone?

The cone or the Jimmy Jane one with ears (sorry, on a phone and can't link).

The Red Thoughts consort recommends the Lelo line. She has a Soraya - it's rechargeable, waterproof, powerful and very quiet. However if you lie on your stomach, then maybe a Lily or a Cone would be more appropriate.

The Cone is amazing, and can be used exactly like you describe. It's not super-quiet, but it's also not so loud that someone will be able to hear you using it from the next room, especially if you're under the covers. It's a little spendy and not as ubiquitously-available as it was a couple years ago, but I think it's well worth it. Mine has lasted for years of solo and partnered use. It's great for using while laying around reading smut. :)

I assume you prefer plug-ins because they tend to be stronger. If that's the case, then as much as I love Lelo products, I'd steer you away from any of them except the Siri. The Siri is the strongest of Lelo's vibes and also fits all your other criteria--the varying vibration patterns are especially nice. It's not plug-in, but it is rechargeable.

The Mystic Wand (available in battery-powered or rechargeable versions) is a great toy with three speeds plus three patterns, but it can be a little loud, and depending on your body type may be a little more challenging to use while on your stomach.

I'd also recommend Fun Factory's LayaSpot. It's small, quiet, easy to use in any position, and surprisingly strong for a battery-powered vibe.

None of the Jimmy Jane vibrators mentioned above are particularly powerful, but if that's not what you're looking for the Form 2 and Form 4 are both well-designed and meet the rest of your criteria.

I am a big fan of the Jimmy Jane Form 6. It is rechargeable, but it lasts quite a while without any noticeable drop in strength. It actually has a vibrator at each end, and you can vary their intensities separately, plus work in several patterns.

I recommend anything by JimmyJane, especially the Form 2. Varied patterns and speeds, wireless, quiet, and rechargeable. Also, it's pretty. :) The buttons are easy to manipulate without much interruption, too.

Read reviews on goodvibes.com and babeland.com - their products are all high quality and well-researched/tested. You can also chat with someone online at GoodVibes (during business hours) to get more personalized suggestions.

Have fun and good luck!

I have nothing to add to this forum, except:

Vibrating toothbrushes are the ultimate answer for shy travelers. They cost under $5, are completely sealed, have looong battery lives, can be cleaned with chemicals, rinsed, and still function, and look just like toothbrushes.

And they do the trick, for multiple ladies of my acquaintance... especially for clitoral stimulation.

Also, they make nice backups, just in case your favorite toy's batteries run out.
