(Syncing) RTF editor for Android

WordPad is a bare-bones RTF editor. What app will approximate WordPad on an Android? Bonus points if the editor also syncs itself between Android and Windows.
I'm looking for a cloud-based RTF editing app with the following characteristics:
- EDITING
..... > colored text
..... > hitting the tab button adds a tab character
..... > ordinary, customary word processing interface -- eg, cutting and pasting do not introduce unexpected blank lines or move the caret to unexpected places.
- SYNCING
..... > syncs between Android and Windows
..... > saves a local version (and so can be used offline. Willing to compromise on this if absolutely necessary.)
Ideally the RTF editor and syncing would be done by the same program, but I'm getting desperate enough that I'd settle for just a simple RTF editor for Android, and handle the syncing myself through Dropbox.
With such prosaic requirements I thought I'd be overwhelmed with alternatives, but I've now tried Memonic, Evernote, KeepNote, GumNotes, Zoho, Luminotes, AK Notepad, Cloud Note, NixNote, Ubernote, Olive DOC, Quickoffice, MultiReader, and Word To Go, and not one of them has fit the bill. Evernote came closest, but its bizarre tics re: converting tabs to spaces and unpredictable cut/paste behavior make it unusable for my needs.
This has got to be out there somewhere; there's no way I'm the only person who wants a cloud-ready version of WordPad. What app am I missing?
Non-free apps are fine if that's what's out there. Thanks in advance.

This is actually a problem common to word processors on big computers, too. You tend not to notice it so much because of the more accurate pointing device.
You might have better luck with a text editor and a markup language, eg. Markdown.
