Seeking stamp dealer

I'm asking for my husband, who says: Can anyone recommend a good, honest postage stamp dealer in New York City? I am looking to sell my late father’s many-volume collection of stamps. He was most serious about collecting East Asian, Latin American and African stamps, but also has a few things of value from less far-flung places (a British Penny Black, for instance). Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I've looked at this thread, but the poster there is asking about Boston. I am hoping people might have more NYC-based suggestions.

One general word of advice that may or may not be relevant: don't get fooled into looking up the individual values of certain stamps in the collection and estimating a value for the collection that way. Unless you are willing to go into the stamp trading business and sell the stamps off one by one over a couple of decades, you're never going to approach realizing the individual retail value of the stamps. You are selling these wholesale, and it's going to mean doing so at a steep discount.

Their website is crummy and doesn't say whether they buy stamps, but I think Champion Stamp on W 54th St in Manhattan buys collections. If not, they could undoubtedly refer you to a dealer who does.
