Alone in Dahab

I'll be spending next week in Dahab on my own, staying at a hotel. The main reason for the holiday is to have a warm relaxing week after a rather stressful year. I am not a diver. So what should I do? If anything... What should I know? I am a middle aged woman and don't have a huge amount of money to spend. And one specific query - how cold will it be climbing Mount Sinai at this time of year? (I'm planning on taking hand luggage only, so don't want to carry a pile of clothes simply for one activity).

Mt. Sinai will be freezing. Desert winters are tough, and the people I know who did the trek at this time of year said it was pretty miserable.

Do you snorkel? There should be plenty of resources there for snorkelling. I stayed at the Hilton in Dahab and took a taxi into the main part of town a few times for dinner, but other than than there's not a whole lot to do besides some light shopping. I did a sunrise climb to Mt. Sinai in late May and I was pretty cold in my fleece coat waiting for the sun to come up. The monastery at the base of Mt. Sinai is definitely worth some time.
