Any decent rental agencies in Portsmouth, NH?

Are there any good rental agencies in Portsmouth, NH? My brother needs to find an apartment there in the next few weeks and Craiglist isn't turning up much. We are accustomed to the Boston area where there are countless rental agencies but it seems that Portsmouth doesn't have any.

The seacoast online classifieds section has some rentals for Portsmouth. Lucky your-brother, I wish I were moving to Portsmouth!

Portsmouth isn't a city, it is an old fashioned town. Tell your brother to make up a nice flyer (mentioning his job, if it's full-time) and put it around. Ask the old guys & gals at the hardware store/butcher's/local cafes. Classifieds are good, but usually everyone finds everything via word of mouth. Most things aren't really advertised. If something is advertised you'll want to make sure it's not a summer rental, which are often poorly heated/insulated.
