How to get sold out Rio Theatre PFT tickets?

Help me get Paul F. Tompkins tickets for the sold-out Vancouver November 30th show.

It's at the Rio Theatre on Broadway. I waited too long to finalize my plans and the show has now sold out. There doesn't appear to be an online secondary market for them, and I'd be willing to pay some amount over face for two tickets. Anyone have any ideas for how I might connect with a seller? I live in Seattle. Thanks!

Best answer: Have you tried tweeting him? He's very active on Twitter and might be able to help you out. I've seen him tweet "x tickets available" from fans lots of times; he probably does the opposite too and I just haven't noticed.

Response by poster: I don't have a Twitter account. I'd be willing to start one just for this purpose, but that seems like kind of a weird thing to do. Is it kind of a weird thing to do?

Response by poster: Eh, I can't articulate to myself why I think it's weird. I'll give it a try, but please do continue with alternate suggestions!

Yeah, right before every show he'll retweet from people who can't make it.

And by "right before" I mean in the week or so leading up.

Best answer: If you use a feed reader like Google Reader, subscribe to the RSS for this search page. I've had good luck using Craigslist to get tickets, but generally I have to wait for the week before a show before they start showing up. Subscribing to the Craigslist search feed means I don't have to check every day - they just pop up when they're available.

I got sold-out tickets to a Flaming Lips show this way.

Response by poster: Be-twitted!

Craigslist RSS, also a good idea. I use the internet like an old person. Good day to sign up for new services!
