Milwaukee Brewers 1989 Significance?

I have a baseball hat that was recently given to me by my brother on his trip through Wisconsin. It is a Milwaukee Brewers Cooperstown Franchise hat which has a "1989" stamped on the back. I have no idea the significance of the 1989 year and the Brewers. I have conducted some rough Google searches, but I couldn't find anything definitive. Anyone have any info? Thanks.

Best answer: 20th anniversary, probably. The Seattle Pilots started playing in 1969 and, after being purchased by a car salesman that would later become commissioner of baseball, moved to Milwaukee the next year.

Yeah, 20th anniversary is the only really notable thing about their '89 season.

Did they play in the exhibition Hall of Fame game that year? I'm coming empty searching for the participants in 89.

The only other thing I can think of is that some changes were made to the uniform in 1990, so it might have been the last year of that design.
