What's my mop?

I bought this mop a while ago (in a store in Los Angeles, possibly Bed Bath and Beyond). I need a replacement spongy-thing. Does anyone recognise the brand?

Is it a wet mop or a dry mop?

Could it be the O Cedar Big Easy Butterfly Sponge Mop? Here's the refill.

Response by poster: It's a wet mop - the squeezy type. It looks like I might have an older model of the O Cedar one. The refills are slightly different though: here is the old one I'm about to throw away.

Hey, mop manufacturers, would it hurt to write your brand name on your mop?

Vileda mops are red like that. It looks like it could be the Easy Squeeze. They used to sell them at Target, but I don't know if they still have them there.

Response by poster: It might be an older version of the Vileda butterfly sponge. The brand name rings a bell.

Hey, mop manufacturers, would it hurt not to make near-identical mops to your competitors, and discontinue the models every couple of years?

Because they looked so similar, I googled it.

Vileda is, in fact, part of the O-CedarĀ® Family

...with a period at the end of that sentence.

Best answer: A suggestion: if you think you bought it at BedBath, I'd take it in to ask them. If they don't carry the refills, especially if you've been having trouble finding refills, there's an excellent chance they'll offer to let you exchange it for a new one without you even having to ask. Of course, if they don't offer, do ask. (I've become a huge BedBath fan since reading on AskMe about how awesome their refund and exchange policy is. My own experience with returning things there has been nothing but positive — better than REI and way better than Nordstrom, who are both much-praised for how they handle returns.)
