Web ad overview

So I'm getting ready to launch my own family-friendly, general interest, community discussion site, and I'm hoping to generate at least partial support from displaying ads on my site. I poked around a bit on Google's Adsense site, but does anybody know of a good intro/overview/ratings of the various options I may have available to me?

You should concern yourself first with generating taffic.

Response by poster: Thanks for the advice, but

a) I'm not developing a blog, and
b) I'm reasonably certain that neither content nor traffic will be a problem.

I'm specifically looking to outsource ad sales and logistics, topics of which I know little to nothing about yet.

Anybody?
