How to bring life to old Uggs?

How to restore the sheepskin in Uggs?

I have a much loved pair of Uggs that I've had for about three years. I've replaced the sheepskin sole every fall, but I've noticed this year that the fur on the heel is worn down and it hurts when I wear them. Is there any way to restore the much-appareciated softness or am I doomed to buy a new pair?

Just read a post about this on TechKnitting yesterday.

For $15 you can buy some Ugg insoles. I don't own Uggs, but I have used them for other boots.

Sorry didn't read the question carefully! A shoe repair shop should be able to help you out with the uneven sole.
