What is freedom?
I used to think "freedom" was just running around like a kid, or having greater rights. I've read a few works recently, however, that made me understand that freedom is a far more nuanced concept.
So now I'm wondering what all of you believe freedom to mean. What definitions does it hold for you? Or is there a non-fiction book that you'd recommend to deepen one's understanding on the complexities of freedom?
It can be freedom in the legal sense, metaphysical sense, etc.
I'd also like this to be as lucid as possible, so please refrain from using metaphors unless you also explain it clearly.
