Late 70's/early 80's Made for TV After school special-I am trying to find a specific episode.
The episode I am trying to find had a young guy living at home that built a hidden "drug den" -it was maybe hidden by access through a closet and the inside walls were covered in tin foil.I vaguely remember him taking Quaaludes- some one jumping out school window on PCP and other various pills from that era.Shocked concerned parents in denial and their suddenly "insane/violent " son vibe.
The son seems to go to a level far beyond his friends-regarding drug intake
I found a few After School Special shows but none that were close.
If anyone can remember this episode and/or knows a source-please share what you know.I really want to see it again as it had a big impact on me when I was young.
I"sort" of remember Boy in a plastic bubble around the same time frame..

Unless there was a plague of PCP-fueled auto-defenestrations in after-school specials, this event was probably Helen Hunt in Desperate Lives (personally, I prefer the Keyboard Cat version).

..memory..such a fragile thing :0 I will get Desperate lives and see if any more of the film fits my memory.
and YES I think you nailed the other scenes I remember....the wiki page and "reds" mention seems totally right...THANK YOU Freezboy and mhum !!! Late 70's TV was interesting to say the least.Now i can enjoy some non- intended hilarity.

Response by poster: I think "Stoned" an after school special starring Scott Baio was another part of my 'memory" now that I found a clip and watched a bit.
