O Non Serviam, in wood-o carviamus

Where can I find wood-carvings such as the one depicted in this (album art) for Morbid Angel's 'Covenant' album?
I've only encountered them a few times, never remembering to take down the sources, etc. Please tell me everything you can about them.

Response by poster: Thank you. "wood carving" was getting me all sorts of nowhere on Google.
Does anyone know if there's a name for the period or movement that has dealt so heavily with witchcraft and the devil in general?

Much of this came out during the Medieval and Renaissance Periods.
Albrecht Durer is kind of one of the greats but his work skews a bit more detailed and less dark then some of the Medeival stuf.

Hi, I came in to say Durer is the shit. But, you will find a lot of other goodies if you can find a book on Northern European art in your library.

Besides Durer, Gustave Doré did fantastic woodcuts for Paradise Lost, The Divine Comedy, and the Bible (among others), many of which have become heavy-metal classics in their own right.

Northern Renaissance woodcuts are what you are looking for. The art form flourished during this period, the piece you link to is earlier and more primitive.

Google image for 'woodcuts diabolical' turned up woodcuts of witches, and more woodcut witches. "woodcuts witches english" turns up some images of interest as well.
