Unknown Photographer Filter: Please Help Me Find The Owner of This Picture

I'd like to use this photo on my website, but would like to get permission from its owner first.

I grabbed this photo off a website. There was no documentation about the picture, not even a photo name, so I cannot google it. I seriously doubt the photo came from the owner of the website I grabbed it from since it was one of several very diverse types of media on the site. Furthermore, I do not remember the site's name from which I took it.

I would like to make an earnest effort to contact the author before using the photo. If you have any ideas, please help. Thanks!

I can't read Russian, but this appears to be where the real author (who has posted a series of train-related photos with similar touch-up/alterations) has posted it on a flickr-like site.

Best answer: Tineye suggests its from a Russian photographer calling himeself Boji. Here's the google translated version of his gallery on a Russian photo sharing site.

Best answer: You can actually do a reverse image search using Google now.

Check it out!

(Not sure if this will help you find the author, but give take a look at the results)

Boris Solomatin. which is surely a joke as the real Solomatin is the former KGB Head of Anti-American Operations.

Or maybe not?

More info here and here.

Response by poster: Sincere thanks to everyone who responded. I will look over these sites to see if I can find a link to Boji's email and contact him. I will also check out Tineye and Google's reverse search; I wasn't aware of either of these 2 tools and I appreciate your bringing them to my attention, Admiral Haddock and Funky Claude. Thanks again to everyone for your time in responding!
