Synchronising finance management apps for a couple

Recommended apps/websites for financial management for a couple - preferably phone-based with syncing

I'm sure this problem must have been solved already, but I can't seem to find anything that does this.

I want to keep track of my finances, with my wife. We have joint accounts, and both spend from them. Ideally we'd like something that maybe has a web-app and an android app and can synchronise between them. Then, when we're both out, we can both add money we've spent to the apps, and they will sync and show the other how much is left.

Is there anything like this out there?

(Note: We are based in the UK, so US-only things like Mint won't work)

I've been using this for a few months and it has *really* helped me get a handle on my spending.

YNAB (You Need A Budget) comes pretty close. There's no web app, and the main program resides on a Mac or PC. There are companion Android & iPhone apps that independently sync with the file you keep on your full-fledged computer. It's a nicely designed program with a novel approach to budgeting that my wife and really like.

My husband and I are successfully using iBank, which has a Mac client and iPhone app. It seems to work well. It supports multiple accounts. I don't know if there's a windows or android version. If there is it's definitely worth checking out.

Yeah, there's stuff like this out there. My wife and I use one on the Blackberry that I wrote; I got started on an Android version, but then I saw this and got depressed and never bothered. Maybe give it a try; if it doesn't work for you let me know and I'll finish my app. :-)

No good for you if you're on Android, but for Mac/iPhone people: my husband and I have been using MoneyWell for the past year and really like it.
