Short-term house rentail in Montreal!

I'm trying to rent a big house in Montreal to accommodate somewhere between 8-12 people this coming November for a conference. Does anyone have any specific experiences or recommendations?

We would stay probably for 5-7 days. We're going to be a mix of grad students and maybe a few faculty, so I'm searching for a good mix of affordability and comfort (with space for people to write their papers in their rooms). Thanks in advance!

I know a number of real estate agents who have rented out houses, though usually for longer periods of time. I'd check on kijiji, and then on craigslist.

The category you're looking for is usually called 'vacation rentals.' There are a number of companies besides AirBnB offering this sort of property, and mostly they have different inventory so it's worth shopping around. Here are a couple of houses listed by TripAdvisor that might suit your needs.

We have had VERY good luck with vrbo.com (vacation rental by owner). I know they have many listings in the Montreal area, and looks like lots of them will accomodate a party that large. good luck!
