Soldier who commited suicide because of DADT?

Looking for the name of a soldier that commited suicide because of homophobia.

I can't for the life of me find this. It was in the late nineties, he was harrased because of his sexuality and he couldn't tell anyone because of DADT. Any help?

Are you thinking of Barry Winchell, who was murdered? There was a suicide shortly following his death at the same base.

There's also the Craig Button incident, attributed by some to homophobia, although the family denies that. Way earlier, there was Timothy Karl Miller. I feel there were a couple others that made headlines, but can't find them.
