Question: dvd problem

DVD-R plays on standalone machine, but not on PC.

Using Nero I burned 4 gigs of mp3s onto a DVD-R. I can browse the disc and play the tunes on my standalone dvd player, but the disc appears as blank on my PC.

I've tried running the disc through isobuster, but no joy. Other discs work just fine on the PC.

If there is one available, it might be worth a shot to update your drive's firmware.

I've updated the firmware to v1.3 (drive is a pioneer 105, running on a medion machine).

DVD-R still appears as blank...

When you say it appears as blank that means it looks like there are no files on it?

I tried flashing the DVD_R drive (sony ddu1612) and, lo & behold, the disc is now readable.

Thanks all.
