iTunes Connect bank: which routing number / code?

My iPad app has been approved, but my contract is still pending in iTunes Connect. Status is "Pending Bank" for a week and more. I'm wondering if I'm supplying wrong bank info for routing number / SWIFT code. What to do?

When you add a bank account, it asks for the "ABA Routing Number", and I'm not sure which bank info to supply. I'm in the US, and my bank has 3 different numbers/codes:
- numeric routing number for direct deposit
- numeric routing number for wire transfer
- alphanumeric code for SWIFT

I tried first with my bank's direct deposit routing number, and I was stuck for a week on Pending Bank. After googling, I switched to a new account using the wire transfer routing number, and now that's been stuck for a few days.

So which number/code should I be providing Apple?

Also, am I just being impatient? Should the "Pending Bank" status really last for a week or more?

Thank you for any help.

Best answer: You can enter your bank's name here to get the ABA number. On personal checks, the ABA number is the 9 digit sequence on the bottom left portion of the check.

The iTunes Connect FAQ has several questions about this specifically, and there is also a contact form that is quite effective.

Response by poster: I resolved this issue by contacting Apple. They informed me that I should use the local ACH routing number for direct deposit. After some back and forth, my bank issue has been resolved and my app is in the app store. So if you're in the US, Apple says you should use the routing number for direct deposit.
