What car manufacturer has an R inside a wide oval as its logo?

I saw an odd-looking car on the highway today and I can't figure out what it is or where it came from for the life of me. It was a sedan with an odd, rounded design - the rear of the car tapers down to where the brake lights start, so instead of the lights reaching to the edge of the car on either side, there's a few inches of paint between them and the corner. There was no identifying mark of any kind on the car besides the logo, which is a white R inside a horizontal oval with a thin white line going through the middle (again, horizontally). I tried Wikipedia's list of car manufacturers but the only one that starts with R is Renault, which ain't it.

Best answer: Sounds like a Buick Riviera maybe?

Sure it wasn't a Hyundai badge?

Sorry, my link is to a photo of a 1999 Buick Riviera (white sedan).

Maybe the Aurora (07 on the top line)? It looks like a really sloppy R.

Response by poster: Yep, it's a Rivera. What a weird look for a Buick.

Could it have been an early 70's Riviera?
