Remembrance of Comics Past

Looking for pictures of (or anecdotes about!) Island Fantasy, a direct-market comic shop in Victoria, BC that was active in the mid-80s.

Purely for nostalgia purposes. I just finished reading The Comics Journal's epic retrospective of the boom and bust of direct-market comic sales, and almost all of the events of the timeline I saw through the lens of my teenage comic hangout, Island Fantasy. I'd kill to see some actual pictures of the shop to compare to my memories of it.

Or even if you have your own recollections of Island Fantasy, I'd love to hear them.

Thanks!

I don't have any photos, but sullen teen employee Jeff Ladoucer, who was always drawing
behind the counter, went on to become a successful artist.
