What MeFi-like community blog sites do you recommend in the Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, and German-speaking parts of the web?

I'm mostly mono-lingual, but with services like BabelFish I should be able to navigate a MeFi-style site in a language other than English. I'd like to try to get a view of the world from outside the US. I'm not limited to European languages, by the way.

Madame Martin is a community weblog in French.

Viewropa is multi-lingual, though the majority of the posts do appear to be in English as a common language. It is a blog that concentrates on European life and culture.
