Why can't I talk to other people on Blogspot?

Why can't I comment on Blogspot blogs? The comment box doesn't even look right...
I've been extremely inactive in the blogging world for the past few years, but I'm trying to get more involved. Part of this is commenting on others' posts. However, I can't seem to post on any Blogspot blogs, despite having a gmail account. I have no idea what's going on, but the format doesn't even look right. I posted a screenshot here. I'm using the latest version of Firefox (updated it yesterday) on a Mac.

Do you have AdBlock Plus installed?
While I haven't noticed the issue with commenting on Blogspot pages, I have noticed an increase in webpages that are antagonistic about AdBlock being present, or if AdBlock is blocking a certain advert stream.
If you have ABP, try disabling it and reload the Blogspot page.

Do you allow your browser to accept third-party cookies?

Response by poster: I don't think I have AdBlock Plus, just the standard pop-up blocker Firefox uses. I tried disabling that and it didn't make a difference.
Corpse in the library, I don't know...I am bad at computer stuff. How do I find out? And 6550, did the issue resolve itself?

Response by poster: Forgot to mention something. I'm not sure if it's relevant, but I have issues with Javascript as well-when I watch something on BBC iPlayer it always tells me I need to enable Javascript, even though I usually do. A hard refresh usually solves this, though it's quite irritating.

Hasn't resolved itself as of yet. Tried clearing cache but did not work. I was able to post using Safari and was able to post using FF under a new user account. Since the latter works there must be something related to current FF user profile; aside from cache maybe clearing cookies or deleting various plist files or something might fix it, or simply deleting all FF-related files and re-installing, but I don't feel like dealing with that hassle.
Sorry I don't have anything more helpful.

Re cookies: Firefox menu, Preferences, Privacy, and check that you'll accept third-party cookies.
Note: I don't know if this is the source of your problem, and I don't necessarily recommend accepting third-party cookies. But you might as well try it and see if it fixes the issue.

Response by poster: Thanks. I tried clearing the cache and accepting cookies. Something still seems off, but looks like I can post comments now. I guess the Java issue is something different.
