Japanese short story problem

I read once about (didn't actually read it) a short story by a Japanese author in which the protagonist's business cards come to life and impersonate him; I thought it might be Kobo Abe, but couldn't substantiate. Please to assist.

Best answer: I think you're right about it being Kobo Abe, check out Beyond the Curve, which is supposed to have an excerpt of "The Crime of S. Karma"

One of my favorite books is "A Face of Another" by Kobe Abe. Creepy.
