Can I eat these frozen shrimp?

Can I eat this? Pre-cooked frozen jumbo shrimp left in my bag at room temperature for 3-4 hours, then thrown back in the freezer last night. When I put them back in the freezer, they were still very cold to the touch. (I just started eating shrimp after a decade of not, so there is much I don't know about shrimp safety, but surely pre-cooked is better than uncooked?)

Best answer: I'm sure they will be fine, but freezing, thawing, and refreezing any protein destroys it. The flavor and texture will have been compromised.

Best answer: Yeah, in the future it'd probably be better to have put them in the fridge and eaten them the next day.

Best answer: They'll be fine.

Best answer: Next time, drain the defrost liquid away from the shrimp and put shrimp in the fridge. Sitting in that liquid for any length of time will make your shrimp taste nasty.

Best answer: It won't kill you but it's probably going to taste like shit.

Best answer: Eat them, possibly in a strong sauce. Something with lemon and garlic and olive oil perhaps?

Best answer: To quote Crocodile Dundee, "You can live on it, but it tastes like shit".
Agree with others that best bet with shrimp, once thawed, is to eat quickly. They will keep in fridge for a day or two, but not much beyond that.

Response by poster: Everyone gets "best answer!" I usually cook them with a crap ton of garlic and peppers, so we'll see how it goes. Thank you!
