Where can I find Lyle's Golden Syrup in Brooklyn, preferably near Fort Greene/Prospect Heights?

I know Fairway/Balducci's carries it but it's a hike from where I live.

I think I saw some in the Associated on Myrtle and Washington (which is technically Clinton Hill, but that's closer to Ft. Greene than Fairway, anyway).

If you just needed a little, you could probably convince Ample Hills, the surprisingly delicious new ice cream place on Vanderbilt, to sell you some. I saw a big canister of it in their kitchen.

I know for a fact that the key foods on 5th ave and Baltic in P slope has it on one of their endcaps in a british section near the registers, because that is where I got mine.

Whole Foods and Yes! in DC occasionally have it, do you have one of those near you?

They sell it on amazon (with prime shipping if you have an account), but if time is an issue and you can't find it locally, here is a recipe for a substitute.

Response by poster: None of the above places had it, but after much sleuthing I found it at Blue Apron Foods.

I can tell you where to find it in Williamsburg - not your ideal, but still Brooklyn and just three short blocks from the Bedford Ave L stop.

Also, a generally awesome shop.
