it's time to play Name! That! Kitteh!

What should we name this kitty?

We just adopted a lovely little kitten. The shelter gave him the name Neptune, but that doesn't fit. We have tossed around some ideas - Rudolph Yaeber (4:35 in clip) and Killdozer are the closest we've come, but they don't seem exactly right either.

He is 14 weeks old, purrs like a backfiring car, and is generally sort of floppy. Would love nothing more than to sit on your lap for a snooze.

What should we name him?

I had a cat like that when I was a kid, and she was named Snoopy.

I like some of your captions as names. "Majestic Beast" or "Snoozer."

Or: Potato, Optimus Prime, Beef, George, Charlie, Nissan Altima.

In my experience, it doesn't really matter what you name a cat at first; they always amass several names and nicknames over the years.

He looks so much like my girl Sam (aka Sammy, Sammiches, Samsquanch, Samwise, Samurai, etc.) that I keep thinking "Sam" when I check out the pictures. The only big difference is my Sam has a kitler mustache.

Clearly though, I am a fan of names that can be easily nicknamed and played with :) I hereby give permission to use this name if you think it fits.
