No Doodle For Me?!

Why can't I ever "use" Google doodles?

Everyone around me is all "ooh" and "aah" over the latest Google doodle that features a playable guitar in honor of Les Paul.

I can see the doodle, but can't play it. When I mouse over it, nothing happens, and when I click on it, I get taken right to the Google search page for Les Paul.

Related: another recent doodle featured a playable Pac-Man -- and I couldn't play it.

My default browser is Chrome, but I've tried using FF and IE, too, to no avail.

Is my intarweb broken? Or is it me?

I had the same problem yesterday. Once I logged out of my Google account and tried again, it worked fine.

Check your preferences and make sure Instant is off. If you want to use the keyboard make sure your cursor isn't in the search box when you type.

Also make sure that you don't have your browser set for https only. That limits which google sites you can see and interact with.

Also make sure you have the latest version of chrome.

Also, if you use a flashblocker, you'll have to turn it off (at least for this particular Google doodle).

Is it possible you don't have flash installed?
