Question: Will Shuffler break my Shuffle?

If I use Shuffler to copy music to my iPod Shuffle, will it still work with iTunes? I'm worried the database rebuilder will break something, or that iTunes will know I've been unfaithful to it and refuse to speak to me.

You can use iPod Updater to completely erase your iPod, and iTunes won't be able to tell. If you're asking whether it's possible to use both at the same time, isn't that best put to the author of Shuffler?

I've been using ephPod to move files off my iPod (20gb non-shuffle model)...I used to be able to dance between ephPod and iTunes quite well (not at the same time, of course). On one occassion, however, after using ephPod then moving over to iTunes...iTunes didn't recognize my iPod. I feared all was lost...but after about 24 hours, everything was fine (weirdly).

I was snakebit, however, so now when I use ephPod, I always do not save changes when I exit the app. Haven't had a problem since.

Different programs, older version of iTunes, different iPod...but, yeah, i second cillit bang's suggestion of getting in touch with Shuffler's developer directly.
