Recommendation for a cafe open late near Bishop Mountain Hall in Montreal?

I'm looking for recommendations for a cafe (tea/coffee) located near Bishop Mountain Hall in Montreal, that's open relatively late, maybe 2200, on a Thursday.

Somewhere to meet up with old friends for a few hours over tea, coffee and goodies, where they won't mind us talking and drinking for a while! Walking distance would be best, but public transit accessible is fine too.

There's not a lot that's terribly close to BMH. Cafe Santropol is open until 10pm, I believe, and is about a 20min walk away (@ St-Urbain/Duluth) -- excellent sandwiches, great coffee, & a beautiful patio in the back if the weather's nice. Cafe Pi (St-Laurent/Rachel) is about a 25min walk, and they definitely let you linger for hours at a time - it's a mix of young student types and old Portuguese men playing chess.

You can take the 144 bus east from University/Pins, but it won't save you much time.

Oh, and Pi is open 7am-midnight every day.
