Does jelqing work?

Need honest advice from people who have personal experience in trying it. In what timeframe can one expect results and how much result?

There is no possible way to grow your penis outside of surgery, sorry dude. Don't waste your time (and most likely money) trying to figure out how to do this.

I would recommend watching an episode from Penn & Teller's Bullshit on the subject (s01e06):

At present there is no consensus in the scientific community of any non-surgical technique that permanently increases either the thickness or length of the erect penis that already falls into the normal range. [ Wikipedia ]

I'm not a dude so I've never tried this, but I'm not sure how much more definitive you can get, especially as that article specifically covers jelqing. The "normal range" is 4.5 to 7 inches. But honest to God, every time this question comes up, I just want to scream: it doesn't matter. If you're a man who has sex with women and you think that increasing your penis size will make your partner more sexually satisfied, you are doing it wrong. Most women don't orgasm from just intercourse (or from intercourse at all) so this is so much less important than guys frequently stress out about.

Is there is something we can tell you that will make you feel better about the penis you have right now? I hate that there's a whole industry designed to make you feel inadequate about such a personal thing. Seriously hate it. You should hate it too.

From Wikipedia:
Jelqing may lead to damage of the penile tissues and may also result in permanent scarring and permanent discoloration of the penis, amongst other things there is a moderate risk of damage to and rupture of the penile veins and capillaries.

Sounds like a pretty bad idea to me.

I can't find anything solid on jelqing, but penile extenders (which stretch the penis under a constant traction) exhibit some non-zero (though not amazing) results. The metastudy references some studies which could use a bigger sample pool and of course recommends further research, but then they always do.

And who says inquisitive isn't doing it for himself?

For real, if this had legitimately significant results not only would every guy on the planet know about it but there would be huge debates about which kind of jelqing was best (e.g. martial arts). Whatever improvements that arise will only be noticeable to you and not to your partner.

adipocere: And who says inquisitive isn't doing it for himself?

While this is possible, a previous question and some of the follow up comments in it lead me to suspect that isn't what is going on here.
