Photo retrieval from an antique cell phone?

How do I retrieve photos from a Samsung Cleo?

I'm about to upgrade my Samsung Cleo, and good riddance. There are stored photos on the phone that I would really like to keep however. The phone has a micro SD slot. How can I cheaply and easily transfer the photos to my computer (MacBook)? Please note that I am rather old and out of touch and not so swift with the technologies (i.e. simple explanations needed).

You can get MicroSD cards for under $20 with adapters to go to full size SD, mini SD, and USB.

The gallery on the phone should let you copy or move files to the card, and you can then use the usb adapter to read the card on your mac.
