Topo Chico Mineral Water in SF Bay Area?

How can I purchase Topo Chico mineral water in the San Francisco Bay Area?

Just back from a wedding in Austin, TX where I decided that Topo Chico is the best mineral water ever. Does anyone know of a bricks and mortar source near San Francisco or a reputable online vendor? The ones I've found via Google seem less than above-board.

Ideally, I'm looking for the 11.5 oz glass bottles, by the case.

Alternatively, what's your best Topo Chico-alike mineral water?

After moving from Austin to San Diego, I contacted Topo Chico from their website to get a list of local places that sell it in SD. I was used to getting it in gringo grocery stores in Austin, but found here that I have to go to larger (not mini-super) Mexican grocery stores to get it.

If Topo Chico is scarce, Peñafiel will work in a pinch. Because it was purchased by Dr. Pepper/Snapple, it seems to have better distribution on the US West Coast than Topo Chico. Jarritos dominates the flavored Mexican fizzy water market and they do have an unflavored version as well. I find all three Mexican mineral water brands superior to the domestic brands on supermarket shelves.

I agree that Topo Chico is tasty! The Jarritos version is not as tasty, though seemingly more widely available. Here in LA Topo Chico is in most stores/markets that cater to central American shoppers. Since I live in a heavily hispanic 'hood, that means most of the stores around me carry it, but I really don't remember seeing it when I lived in whiter 'hoods. It might help to use Mexican Coke as your guide. A lot of times the stores that stock that also stock Topo Chico. Surely there must be a Yelp discussion about Mexican Coke.

I've bought Topo Chico at the Lucky's in Fruitvale, just off the 29th St exit on I-880. I've also bought it in plastic bottles (though it does taste better in glass) from that Walgreens on, what, 23rd & Mission.

Other folks in the thread, please do not dare think Peñafiel or Jarritos could ever be a substitute for Topo Chico. Love, Soviet

Response by poster: Thanks very much to everyone who answered. As a proud, and recent, resident of La Misíon, it seems I just need to walk out my door to find some Topo Chico. Thank goodness.
