Suggestions and resources for creating a travel photography blog?

As a recipient of a study abroad scholarship, I am required to create a travel photography blog.

1. What do you recommend that I use? Blogger? Wordpress? TypePad? I would like to use a free hosting program.

2. Are there any travel blogs made on such blogging platforms that you could recommend for inspiration?
