Name that texting service!

I work at a school whose mascot is the Longhorn. We are setting up a text messaging service and I'm looking for a catchy name for the new service. Difficulty: there's already a "cattle call" newsletter, and I'd like to set the new service apart as something new and unique. Any ideas?

All I can think of is "Dinner Bell" because that's the fastest way to communicate with hired hands out in the fields.

But for your purposes, how about "Lasso," for roping people in?

I'd combine two good ones: moo-bull alerts. But then, I'm known for going half a step too far.

I rescind my suggestions. Bullhorn is PERFECT.

I'd suggest staying away from incorporating "bull" into the name because it is easily parodied. If your service takes some time to get off the ground or ends up being seen as of little value, then "shit" will automatically get added to your name by people hoping to score cheap points at the service's expense. Unfortunately, these nasty nicknames have an unpleasant way of sticking around college campuses and becoming the de-facto names for things. Just a thought.

Jph has a good point. Our campus newspaper's title contains a word starting with the letter M; a common nickname on campus replaces M with "mistake."
