Digital Media in SF

Is there a digital-media/arts-type place in San Francisco that provides access to computers and digital technology - something like The Edge in Brisbane?

The Edge is a space with all sorts of digital media labs - such as computers for graphics/film work, a recording studio for music & other audio, classes and workshops, and all sorts of other things.

My laptop's dead and I was hoping to access a similar resource in San Francisco when I'm there from June to Sept, especially since I have a digital radio show planned and at least one blog to update! The place I'm staying at does have Internet, but I would like access to computers robust enough to deal with audio, video, and photos. I'm just not entirely sure what to look for.

Also are there places in either SF or Brisbane that loan out laptops, voice recorders, cameras, or anything of the sort?

Best answer: Ask the Bay Area Video Coalition.

The unfortunately-named Adolph Gasser is a camera store that rents still and video cameras.

Response by poster: BAVC sounds like just the place! Thank you!

Adolph Gasser wants a US-based credit card for rentals, boo.
