Can anyone recommend a good softball league to join in the East Village? I'm a male, with above average skill level.

Depending on your schedule, the East Village Bar League (or something like that) still had a league last time I checked.
The games were usually on Tuesdays or Thursdays at 1pm in East River Park. Lot's of different bars were involved (my bar won the championship one year, Hooray!), but it was mostly run by the Two Boots pizza guy.
I'm trying to think of the bars that had teams, but it's been a few years since I had a team in the league, so things may have changed...Niagara had a team. DBA if I recall correctly had a stellar team. And I want to say Doc Hollidays or Nice Guy Eddies had a team as well. There were about 10 different teams in the league.
It's easy to get on a team, just ask around at the bars you go to, they'll let you know if they have a team or not, if they do, just tell them that you want to play. Teams are always looking for players, especially good ones.

Response by poster: Thanks, for the response, but I don't drink alcohol. It could get a little awkward with all the after game boozing.
