can't find a blog post about stupidity and cleverness

there's a blog post somewhere out there about the good that can come of, instead of trying to do clever things, simply avoiding doing stupid things. anyone know who posted it?

Charles Ellis has written several papers [pdf] and a book distinguishing winner's games (which are won actively by skill) from loser's games (which are won passively by avoiding mistakes). He applies this idea to investment strategy and you'll find it discussed in investment blogs.
