Is there an open source or shareware program like Quickjump? allowing jumping to a folder with a few keystrokes?
QuickJump see http://www.techhit.com/QuickJump/open_navigate_windows_folders.html
A lot of apps I use I have to manually navigate to where I want to save/load files in windows.

If you don't mind the odd mouse click, making desktop shortcuts to your frequently used folders can get you to any of them in two clicks from any file chooser dialog. Worthwhile even if it's the only thing you ever use the desktop for.

As you as asking for opensource, I assume you have programming skills.
You can probably start with some from CodePlex
By default, everything on CodePlex is most likely Windows/.NET
There are others, at SourceForge as well.

Response by poster: Doesn't have to be open source or anything - just an alternative ! I'm on Windows 7 - I'm sure mac owners have other programs like this.
