Help! My kids are pestering me for this squid recipe... but I can't find it!

My kids love squid. I make it for them on an infrequent basis, and on the package there used to be a recipe that included green beans, white wine, heavy cream, parsley and some other ingredients. My local store has stopped selling the brand which had the recipe on the back o the package (and I can't remember the name) and I have lost my copy of the recipe. I have Googled until my fingers bled.

Yes, it's a very Lovecraftian sort of headline... I can't help with the recipe, but squid is really really easy to cook. Can you wing it a couple of times? If you've made the recipe before, you must have some idea of the relative amounts of parsley, wine, cream and beans. Try it a few times, keeping notes of the measurements you use. I'm sure you know this, but all you have to remember is not to cook the squid itself for more than about 2 minutes or it gets rubbery. I haven't made it with beans/heavy cream, but I've used all the rest.

What was the brand that had the recipe on the box? Is it possible to contact them for the recipe?

Maybe if you look at google images or shopping results for squid, you would recognize the package and then can contact the company?

You could ask at the store what brand it was, they will know. Then go from there.

Response by poster: I have asked for the brand name and none of the people at my local stores know what I am talking about.

Maybe if you told us where you live and what store you bought it at, someone might be able to help? Was the squid frozen? in a bag? in a box?

Have you tried just googling the ingredients and going through the results to see if anything similar pops up?

Was the package a bag or a box? What color was it? What was the name of the supermarket where you used to be able to buy it? Anything helps. Also, I want this recipe ;)

Oh, also - the recipe. How was it served? Was it a stew, a soup, a pasta sauce, etc?

Response by poster: It was in a clear plastic package, and I used to buy it at Superfresh markets. Also, to answer iconomy, it was served over green beans. A white sauce with squid served over green beans, but I bet you could serve it over linguine.

The squid: was it sold frozen, refrigerated, dried, or something else?

Response by poster: Artlung, it was frozen.
