What's the proper name for these zoological illustrations?

The illustrations are usually of plants and animals, and underneath the drawing will be the plant or animal's name or classification in latin.

Here are two examples:

If anyone could help me find the proper names for these I'd greatly appreciate it!

Best answer: Botanical illustration or florilegium for plants.

Best answer: I don't know if there is an established specific term for those illustrations, but the name which sprung to mind was Carl Linnaeus, who founded the modern system of binomial nomenclature in biology. Though it seems he didn't actually do many of the drawings himself, the term "Linnaean drawings" does turn up in a number of places to refer to this type of illustration.
