Using non-commercial CC content, ads come in later. Is this good?

Hypothetical: Using Creative Commons licensed material that's not labeled for commercial use on a not-for-profit blog. At some point, ads are run in order to generate profit. Is this good? What if the ads are gone later?

Here's a previous post that touched on the issue of advertising. The "noncommercial" clause is unfortunately not very clear-cut. See the CC wiki for some useful links.
