Can anyone recommend a good doctor in the Greenpoint or Williamsburg area of Brooklyn? (A general practitioner, specifically.)
I'm due for a physical, but the last few times I've chosen doctors out of the phone book I've gone places that were clearly more concerned with milking my insurance company than my health.
I'll also happily take recommendations elsewhere in New York City, of course, but the closer the better.

I go to Dr. Richheimer at United Medical Associates at 1029 Manhattan Ave in Greenpoint. He's really nice and I've always been able to get same-day appointments when I call. I never have to wait very long in the waiting room or in the exam room. The staff is quick and friendly. The facilities are clean. They have weekend and evening hours. All-in-all, thumbs up.

I went to this guy at Northside Medical, Nassau Ave a couple of times a few years ago and he was helpful, friendly and seemed pretty capable.

Dr. Bruce Champagne. Just off the 3rd avenue L stop, around 3rd and 15th. He's worth the train ride. I chose him because I liked his name, and recommended him to all my friends because he is great. They agree.

For now, I'll just let the awesome ZocDoc do the talking (and reviewing). Looks like there's only that one happy-looking older guy (first doc at the top) at the present time. He seems to practice on Graham with 4.5 stars.
