help me remember who this writer is

Trying to remember a novelist (literary, non-best-selling). First novel included a character who was a "lifestyle consultant" in LA, telling rich people which music they should like, what kind of glasses to drink expensive Scotch in, etc. Second novel about a '60s radical on the run for a long time. The writer now lives in upstate New York, running, I think a bed and breakfast. Both books were excellent.

Dana Spiotta! She wrote Lightning Field and Eat the Document. New book coming out this summer!

She teaches in the creative writing program at Syracuse.
