Socio-biologists: Can anyone tell me why men find Sarah Palin attractive?

Socio-biologists, I need some input. Thanks in advance.
Are men hard-wired to find stupid women attractive?
Did the Repubs market successfully market "style" where there was little "substance"?
We women see the high maintenance: Streaked, highly stylized hair, thick and obvious makeup, not fat but not shapely either. We realize the hours daily devoted to personal vanity. Yet men, even many bright men on the political left, always refer to this dim bulb as "attractive." ? I'm not trying to be snarky and I'm not jealous, as I've had my share of male attention and am happily married. Yet it irritates me---because, seriously, I'm wondering if men are anciently hard-wired to find stupid women desirable for reasons of dominance/control? Other attractive women in politics, like former Michigan governor Jennifer Granholm whose high intelligence is readily apparent, seem not to be considered "babes" like Palin. Why not? Did the Republicans successfully market "style" because there was no "substance"?
