Miami Beach therapist?

Can anybody suggest a good therapist in the Miami Beach area?

My girlfriend recently moved to Miami Beach and needs to find somebody to talk with. All ideas are of course welcome, though ideally she'd prefer somebody who is young, intelligent, and understands the unique stress and needs of performing artists.

We've done some Google searching, of course, but it's hard to tell much from lists with names and photos, so we'd be very grateful if anybody here can share their personal recommendations!

When I first moved to South Florida, I went to the Renfrew Center in Coconut Creek (western Broward County).

Although the center specializes in eating disorders, they have therapists of all stripes there. I went there for depression issues. I've never had any sort of eating disorder (unless you count my inability to stop eating) and I still felt very comfortable there. The center is clean and relaxing and I had good experience with my therapist there. Also, you might try calling the University of Miami's Counseling Center. They don't see non-students but they can likely refer your girlfriend to a therapist who is a graduate of their program.

Very best to you both.
