Transferring from Vodafone to easyMobile

I want to transfer my pay as you talk phone from Vodafone to easyMobile, but I can't seem to find out how to get my Porting Authorisation Code (PAC) from Vodafone, so that I can keep my existing number. Calling their helpline just gives me a bunch of automated menus that don't apply. Has anyone done this before?

Old posts on uk.telecom.mobile say to call 0808 094 5945. If that doesn't work, I suggest asking on that newsgroup.

Looked at Vodafone website and it's all about changing your number from another network to them. It won't be much different if you are transfering from one Vodafone number to another. Try calling 0800 068 6570 as that's the number to contact them if you have a PAC code. If they are not the right people I'm sure they will be able to point you in the right direction. Hopefully it will save you going through all the different options on the 191 no.

If you keep mashing the keypad at the automated menu system then it will eventually put you through to a real person who will be able to help. You're better off trying the standard customer service number and try and get them to put you through to the correct department, rather than fobbing you off with a phone number.
