A fun laptop based activity for Gr. 3/4s?

Teacher advice: Looking for a fun/educational activity to do with a grade 3/4 class that can be completed in less than a day. We have 10 laptops and wifi connectivity.

I'm covering for a colleague tomorrow who doesn't have time to plan a formal dayplan. I was planning to do the EdHeads 'Design a Cell Phone' activity but realized that it's too advanced for such a young group.

Is there anything similar you can recommend? Or another fun activity that we can do using laptops (around 1 laptop for every 2 or 3 kids)?

Thanks!

Scavenger hunts!! There are age appropriate hunts that you can find on-line. I did these with some of my students when I was teaching, and they LOVED it!! You can have them work alone, or in pairs. Some of the scavenger hunts out there are theme-based, and generally take about 45-60 minutes to complete. My kiddos were completely absorbed by it!

Here's a lesson plan that gives you an idea of what I'm talking about (and doing a Google search will give you a lot more options as well).
